The Position

Our client is looking for an events sales professional to join their team as Divisional Sales Director.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a team of hungry sponsorship sales consultants, who in turn are securing sponsorship revenue on our international large-scale events. You will be required to support and help get the deal over the line, ensuring that clients are satisfied in all cases.


Cultivate and manage a robust pipeline of prospects and opportunities to meet sales deadlines.
Manage and motivate a team through leadership and setting the bar high.
Strategize with other Directors and Line Managers in assisting with all cross-selling opportunities.
Performance management of all team members and help support and grow individual business plans.
Understand specific client challenges in each of the markets we serve and how our products align to meet those challenges
Build a thorough understanding of our products, the industry and the competitors
Maintain regular contact with clients and formulate innovative, creative and profitable solutions for their business
Maintain close liaison with the marketing, production and operations teams to ensure the delivery of successful customer focused events
Attend and help deliver training sessions designed for the sponsorship sales department
Conduct monthly revenue forecasts, sales reports and manage a sales pipeline
Identify potential customers from competitive media, events and from other business sources
The Ideal Candidate

5+ years’ experience in sales management within the events, conference and B2B sponsorship industries.
A highly ambitious and hungry sales professional
A glittering record in sponsorship sales!
A solid sales process and/or previous sales training
Business acumen and strong commercial awareness
Ability to communicate in the clearest and most efficient manner with clients from all backgrounds
A desire to develop themselves as a sales professional
